Between 1974 and 1986, the stable “Vechtehof” was built and managed by Hans and Marlene Egbers and their four sons. It was used as a breeding stable for Hanoverian and Oldenburg horses.
In 1986, Wolfgang Egbers and his wife Sabine Egbers (née Wrzal) took over the stable after they had passed their master certifications in equestrian management. After building an indoor arena and other renovations in 1987, the stable was changed into a training yard.
In 2000, the employees’ accommodations were expanded and in 2003, the old bakehouse was changed into a guesthouse for foreign customers.
After all these years, the yard still seeks to be a home for all friends and
customers, where a considerate, appropriate, and professional education for horses is offered. From the beginning, riders and horses are supported and trained with great passion until Grand Prix level and can also be presented at several championships.
The education of the couple Sabine and Wolfgang Egbers has been supported by leading figures in the equestrian scene. Now, there will be a list of names from whom the couple received professional knowledge about education and training of horses as well as the rider can be found below:
